ABOUT OLIVER’S MOTORCYCLES BRISBANE
John Oliver started selling motorcycles at Holland Park in Brisbane in 1971, then in 1974 starting his own Yamaha dealership at Eight Mile Plains. 1978 saw the opening of Moorooka Yamaha. Over the following 35 years, John, in partnership, built one of the largest motorcycle and most successful retail groups in Australia with franchises for just about every brand of motorcycle on the Australian market.
In order to achieve John’s dream of having a real family owned and operated motorcycle business involving his adult children, he sold his other interests and now the dream has become a reality with Oliver’s Motorcycles. Michael Oliver, Director/Dealer Principal, has been in the industry since school. Starting as an apprentice motorcycle technician, moving to spares and accessories, through finance and insurance, to motorcycle sales and Dealer Principal.
Michael has been a keen off road rider since childhood and progressed through to Enduro competition, competing in ten A4DE (Australian Four Day Enduro) from age 16 and was on the ISDE (Australian International Six Day Enduro) team for 5 years competing in Europe, South America and New Zealand . Michael’s passion now is more Adventure riding, completing the APC Rally in 2012.
Kerrie Oliver has a business degree and extensive experience in human relations, training and management. Kerrie has a passion for customer service and enjoys riding off road with her young children at the family farm. Kerrie will be very active in all aspects of the business at Moorooka and is keen to meet our customers at the dealership.
Susan Oliver has worked in motorcycle dealership administration for over 15 years, including extensive experience in Dealer Management systems. Susan manages administration at the dealership, ensuring smooth operation of our dealership so that we can concentrate on looking after you, our customer.
